Blocking Discs

OLS can supply a wide variety of blocking discs in various colors. Below is a quick reference guide for all OLS blocking discs.

Sure*Grip Premium White:

Excellent pad for everyday use. The white on black pad is standard thickness and one-piece construction. A specially formulated adhesive provides an excellent bond to all lens material and coatings.

Premium Blue:

Standard pad thickness and adhesive. Good for edging standard materials and coatings.

Premium Green:

Standard pad thickness. Adhesive is more aggressive on the lens side than on the block side. Excellent for super hard coats and Anti-Reflective coatings.

24K Gold:

A premium pad with .8mm thickness. A special adhesive is utilized on both sides to ensure a positive bond to both lens and block. With the .8mm thickness and unique adhesive system both lens slippage and pad torque is eliminated.

Platinum Super Premium:

A premium pad with .8mm thickness. The Platinum pad utilizes a more aggressive adhesive on the lens side to ensure extra grip on super hard coated and Anti-Reflective coated lenses. The adhesive while providing superior holding power releases easily from lens’ surface.

SecurEdgeTM:

Unique three piece pad construction. SecurEdge is manufactured with a stabilizing film meshed between two high strength foam layers. SecurEdge utilizes an acrylic adhesive that provides excellent adhesion to all materials and coatings. Unique acrylic adhesive ensures clean and easy removal from both lens surface and finish block.

Premium Special Purpose:

Special pad with super aggressive adhesive. The pad is a 15 mil 3MTM material and is recommended for use with flexible blocks. Excellent for edging polycarbonate and materials that require additional cycle time in the edging process.
